In 2020-2022 ACQF carried out 15 Peer Learning Webinars in which 32 national and regional cases from Africa and 12 from other regions of the world (Europe, Asia, Middle East) were shared and discussed. The 2 "ACQF Training Weeks" (April and September 2022) generated a rich knowledge base reflected in over 50 presentations on all key topics. In 2023-2024 ACQF-II conducted a total of 10 multi-country workshops in different cities (2023: Johannesburg, Addis, Nairobi, Accra, Maputo; 2024: Johannesburg, Kinshasa, Luanda, Nairobi and Seychelles) and 10 country-specific workshops (Bissau, Accra, Kinshasa, Seychelles, Dakar, Eswatini, Maputo, Freetown, Nairobi) generating knowledge products on new themes (green and digital skills, micro-credentials, Qualifications and Credentials Platform (QCP), referencing to ACQF, NQF Network Africa and others.
Le Ministère de la Formation Professionnelle et Métiers (MFPM) de la RD Congo coorganise avec le projet « Cadre Continental Africain de Certifications » (ACQF-II) un premier atelier à Kinshasa, dédié au développement du CNQC. Cet atelier est participatif et inclusif des représentants de tous les ministères et commissions ayant un rôle et compétence dans la mise en œuvre des programmes de formation et d’éducation de tout niveau et secteur, et de réglementation des diplômes et certificats de tous les niveaux. Les partenaires socio-économiques sont représentés, en vue de leur rôle en amont et aval dans la chaîne de valeur du développement des certifications du pays. Une équipe de 2 experts de l'ACQF-II facilite les sessions techniques de l'atelier.
ACQF-II partners with GTEC, CTVET and other relevant institutions to develop the new comprehensive NQF, and the related policies (RPL and CATS). A full week of consultation and dialogue, led by GTEC, for design of the new ecosystem. The final outputs of this participative process are planned for December 2024.
The 2023 ACQF annual conference concludes the cycle of the training workshops 2023. The agenda combines panels and interactive sessions, and delves into the themes: lifelong learning, new skills, qualifications and credentials, digitalisation in NQFs, social inclusion. Information on the African Union Year of Education (2024) will be shared.
The government of Sierra Leone and the key stakeholders are determined to develop a contextualized and effective National Qualifications Framework (NQF), comprehensive and inclusive of all levels and types of qualifications and able to deliver on the objectives of quality, transparency and portability of skills and qualifications for lifelong learning, employability, social justice, and contributing to the green and digital transformation.

Capacity Development and networking programme 2023: programme of 3 workshops - in Nairobi, Accra, Maputo. The training program of the project ACQF-II in 2023 contributes to enhance knowledge and understanding on the development and operationalization of NQFs: moving from initial ideas to policies, and from policies to action. This workshop is co-organised by Eswatini Qualifications Authority (EQA) and the ACQF-II project. It gathers representatives from public institutions, education and training community, professional bodies and social partners. The workshop is part of the technical visit to Eswatini, focused on identification and discussion of major features of the future RPL Policy and Guidelines.
The 2nd national workshop on the NQF development process takes place from 31/July to 4/August 2023, in Bissau. The workshop gathers the members of the NQF working group and other key stakeholders. The draft NQF Concept document was discussed, agreed and prepared for finalisation. The action plan until June 2024 was agreed, with concrete steps towards the NQF Policy Document.
