7th ACQF Continental Forum to Take Place in Nairobi, Kenya, on 28–30 July 2026
The event will provide a platform for policymakers, qualifications authorities, technical experts, and education and training stakeholders to share good practices and strengthen mutual trust in key areas of qualifications development. Discussions will focus on themes such as quality assurance, recognition of prior learning, digitalisation of qualifications, and other emerging priorities relevant to the development of future-ready qualifications systems on the continent.
Highlights of the Forum programme are expected to include:
- Policies and practices related to the recognition of skills and credentials;
- Policy approaches and emerging developments on micro-credentials;
- Good practices in green skills and qualifications;
- The operationalisation of the ACQF Qualifications and Credentials Platform;
- Networking and collaboration opportunities to support continental activities in 2026–2027; and
- Presentations and discussions on the work of the ACQF technical clusters, covering referencing, qualifications databases and digitalisation, research and policy development, communication and outreach, and sustainable financing.
The Forum will also contribute to shaping future cooperation and implementation priorities for the ACQF Network and its stakeholders, supporting the African Union’s vision of an integrated, prosperous, and knowledge-based continent.
The event will be conducted in English, French and Portuguese, with live streaming available to facilitate broader participation across the continent and beyond. The Zoom registration link will be available soon.
