The webinar will unpack the essentials of referencing: what it is, why it matters, and how it can strengthen the transparency, comparability and recognition of qualifications across Africa. Participants will be guided through the key stages of the referencing process, including the current state of play, the role of stakeholder consultation and institutional coordination, the referencing criteria, and the main elements of a strong referencing report.

 

The session will also explore practical issues such as readiness for referencing, and lessons emerging from countries already advancing in the process. It will be particularly relevant for countries with operational NQFs that have already started, or are preparing to start, the referencing process. At the same time, the webinar is open to the whole ACQF Network, and all interested stakeholders are welcome to participate.
