African Qualifications Verification Network (AQVN) activates knowledge-sharing
In July and August 2021, 2 of the 5 planned webinars gathered a large audience of African stakeholders, specialised organisations and Qualifications Authorities. Rich information was shared by representatives from: Botswana, European Commission (DG Education and Culture), Ghana, Kenya, South Africa and Sweden.
Three additional knowledge-sharing AQVN webinars will bring together the experiences of ENIC-NARIC Centre France, eSwatini, Mauritius, Morocco, Nigeria, Senegal, Zambia and others.
Recognition of qualifications is increasingly connected with NQFs, quality assurance, new technologies and automation. Recognition plays an essential social role, notably in supporting inclusion of migrants and refugees. In a time of great transformation, recognition bodies and organisations are adopting novel methods to cope with change, digitalisation and the constraints prompted by the COVID-19 Pandemic. These new policies, tools and practices need to be shared and disseminated to strengthen mutual understanding between countries and systems. It is all about people: their lives, their work, their skills, and adaptability in a changing world.
